Barbie GaGa

I've just came across the most extraordinary Barbie Dolls. Even though people found out about them about a year ago I can't believe I've never seen them before.

The 29 year old called Viek doesn't consider himself a dolls designer but a dolls player.

Perez Hilton caught wind of Viek's work and blogged about it, but fans of his Flickr page knew about these way before. Vieks says that he doesn't post photo's of his amazing dolls for bragging but to inspire others and to tell the world “your hands make everything.”

I find the Kermit the frog outfit extremely cool, even though when she wear it herself, it did look a bit out of the ordinary.

This is just amazing, look at them little Barbie GaGa shoes.

Talk about crazy! But they are crafted so perfectly.

This is what Viek said when asked about why did he decide to make a Lady GaGa doll - "That's a good question. Who else dresses like her? Obviously, she's a fashion leader. I hadn't really ever known of her until this summer, when someone left a comment on one of my doll pictures, saying "this doll is dressed up like Lady Gaga." That inspired me. I had been designing hair for dolls and was looking for new inspiration. I used to get a lot of inspiration from runway shows of high fashion designers, so Lady Gaga became a huge inspiration. Just look at her in those amazing wigs, makeup, and outfits! I was thinking it would be fun to make those wigs for dolls, and that a Lady Gaga doll must be interesting. Since then, I pay close attention to her; her music, clothes, glasses, makeup, everything! Every detail makes me love her more and more."

Trend Alert, Orange nails?

There have been flashes of orange on the runways in recent seasons past and they have popped up again during the Fall 2010 presentations.
Celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan and Rihanna are getting on the orange nail bandwagon.

With the warm weather setting in, something tells me that this trend is going to create a neon nail bonanza. Here is a new bright Summer orange polish I think you'll love.

This Flute One Shoulder Dress in lilac is gorgeous, I fell in love with it as soon as my eyes were set upon it. I will soon purchase this stunning dress for my holiday in Turkey later this year with my girlfriends. I think it will look so cute with a pair of sandals and a nude clutch. And don't forget the pretty nail polish.

Ignore the fact there is a Me to You bear with a beret on it's head in the background, but please agree these are a very stunning pair of heels. Which were also a bargin buy, you have to love student discount.

Three top must haves from ASOS (Material Girl)

This piece of Fashion Material was written a few weeks ago for a competition at ASOS. We had to write about what would be our three top must haves from the website. Here is mine:


Shoes, shoes and more shoes. These would be my three top must haves but seeing as I have only one pair of feet I can't wear them all. The new tend of pastels have caught my eye this season, meaning I've found a new love for grey suede heels thrown together with pale pinks and blues.
My must have outfit would be this beautiful ASOS Pleat Front Zip Back Top in flawless pink, the neckline shows off your collar bones and the short draped sleeves make it feminine. To keep your eye on the detail of the top and to make sure there isn't too much going on, I'd wear a simple black skirt. Something like this ASOS Jersey Micro Skirt in the style of Ashly Olsen. Now for the best part, the stunning grey suede shoes I've been drooling all over Miss KG Eden Concealed Platform Heeled Court Shoe.
The rounded toe and soft suede finish, perfect.
